After weeks of saying we'd go, we finally did, myself and some friends went and saw the pick of destiny. I have to say, it was one of the funniest films ive ever seen in my life. There were several parts where i was crying with laughter. The film used a couple of songs from there album of the same name, all of which were great XD.
The film starts off with Jables (Jack Black) as a young child with dreams of rocking, but his father (Meat Loaf) just doesnt let it happen. After he runs away to hollywood he meets another guitar players called Kage (Kyle Gass), at first Kage didnt want anything to do with jables, and flicks his guitar pick at him. Later Kage finds out that Jables kept the pick, calling it a good luck charm. After this Kage trains Jables in the ways of rock. Now Kage needs rent money otherwise he has to go back to live with his mother, so they set out to win a Rock contest and use the prize money to pay. They then discover that past great bands all used the same guitar pick, 'The Pick Of Destiny' which was fashioned from Satans tooth, they then set out on a quest to find the Pick and win the rock contest so Kage doesnt have to move back.
