Recommend me some zombie films!
« on: April 07, 2009, 03:13:19 PM »
And by zombie, i mean George A Romero style zombies, heres the ones i already have:
Night of the living dead, original and remake
Day of the dead, (I've seen day of the dead 2, but the zombies talk, and thats a big no no, theres supposed to be a remake of this too, but i can't find it)
Dawn of the dead, original and remake
Land of the dead
Diary of the dead
The dead next door
Dead of night
Flight of the living dead
Garden of the dead
Video dead
Resident evil 1, 2, 3, degeneration
Zombie strippers (Oh God, this was terrible, lol)
Dead set (television series)

[Other films i have which i don't quite consider zombie films]

UKM:Ultimate killing machine (the same sorta genre)
28 Days later, months later
Quarantine

I'm also trying to think of a zombie film where a priest and a woman take shelter in a house, eventually the priest lets some people in and then does a wierd rambo thing and goes out killing all the zombies, it was pretty awesome, lol.

don't get limited to romero. Even he made some turds.. diary of the dead.
I quite enjoyed The Signal. I think it's a british movie, you are british too, right?
Also, Dance of the dead was ok, nothing special.

I loved an 80s movie, called Night of the Creeps, check it out. It's not availble on dvd, piratebay is your friend. Instead of Quarantine I would recommend [REC] which is the original version.

Seppuku is the ancient art of killing yourself if you get super pissed and can't find anybody else to kill. Not to be confused with Bukakke

I thought diary of the dead was pretty good, up until the bit where they arrive at the mansion at the end, then it went downhill. Yeah i'm british, i don't think i've ever seen a british zombie film though, lol, i'm not limiting myself to Romero films as such, i just prefer his style of zombie, i think his are the only ones that can infect people, i've not seen any other zombie film with infectious zombies anyway, they usually just eat their victims completely. I saw the adver for [rec] on TV a few years ago, i thought i was going crazy though cause it wasn't in any of the cinemas and non of my friends had seen the advert or heard of the film, is their an older version of [rec] or something cause it seemed like it only came out a year or so before Quarantine.

[rec] is spanish. I think hollywood bought the rights and buried the movie until they produced their version named Quarantine. You can find [rec] on the torrents, that's how i found it.

I am pretty sure that Italian copycat movies [named zombie 1-2-3-4-5-x also have bite-infection, the same goes for return of the living dead 1-2-3 which are the best and then 4,5 i suppose].

Dead Snow was crap after all, and I forgot to mention Re-Animator which is my favorite zombie movie. The sequels are ok too if you like those kinds of movies. Beyond reanimator features a fight of a severed zombie pennis vs a rat.
